Use interest cards to help students get to know each other. Card contain sports, food and class images. Students use their card to find their partner using common Spanish phrases. I use “Te gusta_____” but it also works with “tienes _____”. Once students are matched with their partner they have a brief conversation introducing themselves and discussing the item or activity on their card. I call on pairs to introduce their partner and tell us if their partner likes what’s on their card!
